The St. Louis Kollel began in 1991 with a group of four dynamic young Rabbis. Originally housed in a nearby synagogue, the Kollel eventually expanded to its current site at 8200 Delmar Boulevard in University City.
Our current faculty consists of twelve Rabbis who have serviced literally thousands of Jewish men and women over the past 25 years through a variety of classes, programs and discussion groups, as well as provided private consultation on matters relating to Judaism and Jewish life.
The Rabbis who make up the St. Louis Kollel pursue advanced studies during the day, and are available during lunchtime, evenings or weekends for teaching and outreach programs. Classes are held in a variety of settings from synagogues to Starbucks.
The Kollel has many weekly educational classes, social programs, and special events including Lunch & Learn, Home Study groups, Eishes Chayil Women’s Division, Torah ‘n Turf, Partners In Torah, daily classes in Jewish law and Mishna, Business, Legal and Medical Ethics, as well as classes in Talmud, Chumash, Jewish History, Philosophy and special classes for Seniors. Social programming includes Shabbat and holiday celebrations, Family Fun Days and Summer BBQs.
