The H.F. Epstein Hebrew Academy is a private Jewish Orthodox elementary school that was established over 65 years ago. The Academy offers Judaic and general studies education to Jewish children, 2 years through eighth grade. Our student body of 171 students comes from all socio-economic backgrounds and a wide range of abilities. It is our mission to educate all Jewish children who seek a Jewish education in a child-centered, Zionist environment. We are proud to be partnering with the St. Louis Learning Disabilities Association. They provide staff professional development, the construction of a school-wide behavior management program stressing character development, observations of classrooms and individual students, assistance in developing differentiated instruction, and teach study skills to our Middle school students. The students spend half of the day studying Judaics and the other half on general studies. In their study of religion, the students use the original Hebrew texts for bible, prophets and the Talmud. The general studies program is complemented by computer literacy, library and physical education. The school is housed on a six acre campus that includes two fully equipped playgrounds, baseball and soccer fields, science lab, gymnasium, library and cafeteria.

Distinctive Programs:

  • Kindergarten and First Grade integrated curriculum

  • Updated math program

  • V’Shinantam Mishnah Program

  • Collaboration with Torah MiTzion Kollel

  • Tal Am Hebrew Language Arts

Founded with five students, Bais Yaakov High School of St. Louis began in 1995 as the high school division of Torah Prep School, and established itself as an independent school in September of 1998, with a complete Board of Directors. Under the auspices of a select rabbinic advisory board, the philosophy and goals of the school reflect the traditional Bais Yaakov ideals set by Sara Schenirer, founder of the Bais Yaakov movement in 1920. As a vibrant asset to the community, the vision of the school is to provide the education and services necessary to maintain and attract families to St. Louis. Additionally, it foresees its graduates providing a source of inspired, dedicated teachers and professionals who will serve as role models and leaders in the community.

Bais Yaakov High School of St. Louis is accredited by Advanced Ed which is a combination of the North Central and South Central Association of Schools and Colleges. Accreditation is recognized nationally and internationally.
