Q:	*What does the word "Kollel" mean?*
A:	A Kollel is a group or gathering of individuals working together toward a common goal. The goal of the St. Louis Kollel is to heighten Jewish identity through hands-on experiences that respect all Jews, regardless of prior knowledge or level of observance.

Q:	*Is the St. Louis Kollel a local or national organization?*
A:	We are an independent not-for-profit (501C-3) organization which operates locally out of our St. Louis headquarters. Via FAX, email and through this website, we are able to network nationally, internationally and globally with Jews throughout the world. While there are many Kollelim throughout the United States, we are not affiliated with each other in any official capacity.

Q:	*Who funds Kollel programming?*
A:	The majority of our funding is through private donations from St. Louisans who value our work and want to become partners in our mission. The balance comes from program revenues and individual contributions from outside St. Louis. Our Annual Raffle Jewish Unity Live Campaigns mark the cornerstone of our fund-raising efforts.

Q:	*Does the Kollel cater to a particular age group or level of religious observance?*
A:	No. We offer unique learning opportunities for Jewish men and women, individuals and families from young school-age children to seniors and everyone in between. Participants represent a wide spectrum of Jewish observance - unaffiliated, Reform, Conservative and Orthodox.

Q:	*Where are the Kollel classes held?*
A:	Wherever there are Jews anxious to learn and grow. Our “Classroom Without Walls” approach allows us to bring learning opportunities to homes, offices, community centers, retirement communities, synagogues, and yes, Starbucks!
